    HotLeap™ Features

    HotLeap™
    Handheld Application

    1. Enables remote data entry for HotLeap™ devices.
    2. System indicates to the operator those sites and devices which have outstanding readings that need to be entered.
    3. Skip feature automatically brings readings up to date (when allowed) .
    4. Sites and devices can be reordered by the operator.
    5. Data entry fields for most readings can be reordered by the operator (e.g. set the walk-order for a compressor). (*not supported for PVR devices)
    6. Rich data entry screens support a variety of data types including text fields, numeric fields, date/time fields, checkboxes, lookups/picklists, and compliance pass/fail selectors.
    7. Data entry fields can be configured to warn the operator when a certain value is exceeded (high value and/or low value), or to automatically limit data entry to a specific range.
    8. Data entry fields can be configured to require operator validation.
    9. Data entry screens support information fields, user entered fields, and calculated fields.
    10. Data entry fields can be configured to generate an alarm if a maximum or minimum value is exceeded, and for recurring events (i.e. change compressor oil after every 500 hours of operation). Data entry fields that generate alarms are clearly indicated on the data entry screen and the operator is required to review alarms (and act on them if necessary) before the reading can be saved.
    11. Supports multiple readings for each piece of equipment (e.g. a single well can have a daily well reading, a monthly well inspection report, and a quarterly well test).
    12. Reading history can be viewed in detailed text form or graphically (i.e. to allow trending).
    13. Synchronizing data with the main server can occur via ActiveSync, modem, Ethernet, or wireless connection (i.e. 802.11) .
    14. Application updates are automatically performed during synchronization.
    15. Data and application stored on flash card protects against data loss due to battery failure or broken handheld (simply remove the card from the dead handheld and insert it into the replacement handheld) .
    16. Works on PocketPC handheld computers and standard Windows PCs.

    OrgAdmin
    Centralized Management Application

    1. Commission handhelds (or PCs) for data entry.
    2. Run Management: create runs, sites, and devices (i.e. pieces of equipment).
    3. Create HotLeap™ users and security groups.
    4. Assign permissions to user groups (i.e.. define what users are allowed to access with the system).
    5. Assign runs and handhelds to security groups.
    6. Create equipment types.
    7. Create reading templates (i.e. the data entry fields an operator sees when entering a reading): set field order, field label, data type, maximum value, minimum value, default value.
    8. Set scheduling information for data templates (i.e. reading is required or optional every day, once a week, once a month).
    9. Assign reading templates to equipment types.
    10. Customize templates on a per-device basis.
    11. Generate usage statistics for handhelds, equipment types, and reading templates.
    12. Configure alarms for specific data entry fields (high value alarm, low value alarm, recurring event alarm): set the alarm type, trip point, severity, and the message displayed to the operator when the alarm occurs (i.e. how to fix the problem).
    13. Define alarm status codes (e.g. continue monitoring, create work order).
    14. Set default units for data entry fields and configure which units will be available for operator selection during data entry.
    15. Define the number of days of history stored on handhelds.
    16. Configure email notifications for system errors (e.g. automatically receive an email on your Blackberry when exceptions occur)

    Bullseye
    Data Viewer

    1. View HotLeap™ readings and alarms.
    2. Generate CSV files for HotLeap™ readings and alarms.
    3. Security groups (defined in OrgAdmin) determine what a Bullseye user is allowed to access.
    4. View readings by site, by device, or by data entry field with date range selection.
    5. View specified alarms, all alarms within a date range, or all active alarms.
    6. Simple to use "drag and drop" interface makes it easy to create custom report configurations.
    7. Report configurations can be saved and recalled for future use.
    8. "Find" feature locates HotLeap™ devices quickly when building reports.

    Staging Table

    1. Provides a concise view of the HotLeap™ database.
    2. Staging tables are automatically populated with new (or edited) readings and alarms.
    3. Allows customers to create their own data mining and reporting applications.

    PVR Interface
(*duplex data transfer between HotLeap™ and PVR)

    1. Assign PVR devices (meters, tanks, wells, charts, and compressors) to HotLeap™ runs: no need to create devices in both PVR and HotLeap™, just drag and drop PVR devices onto HotLeap™ runs.
    2. Select sort order of PVR devices (alphabetical order or the PVR order).
    3. Define short lists for internal locations, external locations, and truck companies on a per-run basis (the full lists are automatically pulled from PVR).
    4. "Find" feature locates PVR devices quickly when building runs.
    5. Option to display all PVR devices or only those that are currently unassigned to a HotLeap™ run.
    6. Automatic export of readings on PVR devices (this includes daily well, chart, meter, tank, and compressor readings, well tests, and truck tickets) to PVR.
    7. Assign HotLeap™ users to PVR users (required for data export to PVR).
    8. Works with PVR 4 and PVR 5.

    Enalysis Interface
(*this is not currently a duplex data transfer, it is HotLeap™ to DeTECHtion only, we are hoping to be a fully duplex system in the future but DeTECHtion is aware of how useful this would be and it is on their radar)

    1. Create compressors with multiple stages/throws using preconfigured reading templates.
    2. Add additional company specific data entry fields to any compressor.
    3. Reorder the data entry fields (i.e. set the walk-order for the compressor data entry fields on a per-compressor basis).
    4. Automatic export of compressor readings to DeTECHtion's Enalysis compressor optimization engine.
