HotLeap™™ 8.0 was built by HotButton Solutions using the ArrowSync™ framework. There are four components given with every install of the HotLeap™ 8.0 system:
1. A mobile field data capture done on a handheld, laptop or tablet called
HotLeap™
2. An administration tool called
OrgAdmin
3. A data viewer called
Bullseye
4. A staging table with access to all collected data called
STAGING TABLE
There is also the option to have HotLeap™ integrated to third party applications as has been completed for PVR and Enalysis.
HotLeap™
When an operator is given a mobile device the HotLeap™ program is opened through an SD Card. This SD Card allows data collection to be done on any mobile device that a company chooses. By not hard coding HotLeap™ to the mobile device a lot of the past issues of handhelds are eliminated. Concern for lost data if the mobile device ever loses power or is damaged is gone as the data is constantly saved to the SD Card so it can be removed and placed in a backup device.
HotLeap™ was built with the operator in mind. It contains all of the data capture that needs to be done via a single user interface. Operators do not need to toggle between different programs to enter in required data. All screens can be manipulated by the operator so that data collection is set up in the way that is comfortable for them.
HotLeap™ will build a history with graphs on the mobile device so that trending and past readings can be viewed when an operator is in the field. There is no limit to the number of readings available in device history. Device information and attributes can also be viewed. Every data point that is collected can be given different alarms specific to the location of the asset where the reading is being taken. Alarms can be defined as high alarms, low alarms, and incremental alarms. There can be many triggers on any data point so that data integrity as well as action can be taken immediately.
It is not necessary for an operator to be connected to the internet for readings to be taken. Readings can be taken when disconnected and when internet is available the collected data can be transmitted to the centralized server for further distribution.
OrgAdminIn the past mobile data collection systems were very difficult to manage. That is why HotLeap™ 8.0 has OrgAdmin. OrgAdmin is the brains of organizing and managing the devices in the field. OrgAdmin comes with security that allows for a one-time installation of HotLeap™ 8.0 in a company and then people can be granted full or restricted access to HotLeap™, OrgAdmin, and Bullseye so that they only have access to the areas that are of interest to them.
All commissions of SD Cards are done through OrgAdmin. Companies are also able to set parameters for data collection such as default units for collection and production variance.
Within OrgAdmin runs, sites and assets are created for data collection in the field. It is also in OrgAdmin that new templates for data collection can be created by a user and then assigned out to mobile devices. A template can be created one time and shared throughout. Creating a template is done easily with many features available such as check boxes, creating drop down menus, text fields and numeric fields. Each template can go further with font options and the ability to set minimum and maximum values. OrgAdmin is also where users can create alarms to be triggered on the mobile device specific to the run, site and asset.
STAGING TABLEThe HotLeap™ database is very unique, and so there is NO access into the database. Access is denied as that database must stay in a specific way for communication to be fast and effective from the mobile devices to the database and from the database to external applications. The data in the HotLeap™database is made available through STAGING TABLE. STAGING TABLE allows the creation of tables for SQL query tools to operate on. This staging table does not provide any push/pull movement of data between the staging tables and 3rd party application systems. The query only operates on the data in the staging tables which then would need to be managed by the external querying tool interfacing with the 3rd party application.
BULLSEYEBullseye allows any user, with access, to view the collected data in the database. This is a manual tool where specific data points can be viewed for a date range selected by the user. The format can be saved so that the next time a new date range can be selected. Users can then export that data into a .CSV file to be manipulated in Excel or taken into another desktop application that accepts .CSV files. Bullseye is also the location where someone could see alarms that had been triggered and how the operators responded to the alarms.
PVR
By using HotLeap™ 8.0 daily production data can be collected and analyzed by the field operator and administrative groups. Information collected from daily readings propagates from the handhelds to the PVR Database.
This module has been extensively piloted in the field prior to its release. PVR users now benefit from the enhanced features offered by HotLeap™ and, as a result, report an increase in operational efficiency.
Some of these enhanced features include:
Wells, batteries, field locations, and areas are defined in the PVR Database and those definitions are transferred to HotLeap™ where runs can be created and assigned.
Administrators can set up a favorites list for each handheld. This list makes it easier for each run to have a list of commonly used internal, external trucking locations, and for default trucking company lists
Modifications in the PVR database will propagate to the handheld on next synchronization. Users can view history (individual readings or graphical representation) of past data collections
Administrative and Engineering groups have quick access to daily oil and gas production.
Access to production calculations in the field enables operators to modify settings for optimum efficiency
HotButton Solutions has a partnership with CGI which means that when PVR is upgraded, HotLeap™ interface will be updated.
EnalysisHotLeap™ to Enalysis is an extension for the Detechtion Technologies compressor fleet management and optimization product: Enalysis. Through the convenience of a handheld, daily compressor data can be collected and analyzed by the field operator and available to senior management.
The information collected from daily readings goes automatically and directly from the handheld to the Enalysis database. All the information you need to optimize your compressors is at your fingertips and not lost in binders full of paper or worse, the information isn't collected at all.
Some of the features of HotLeap™ to Enalysis include:
Users can view history (individual readings or graphical representation) of past data collections.
Administrative and Engineering groups have quick access to daily compressor readings so that they can quickly see where maintenance is needed and where optimization can occur.
Access to compressor data in the field enables operators to modify settings for optimum efficiency.
Effective data transmission close to the original source of the reading.
Provides seamless data capture using one medium of collection.
Analysis of data that is not traditionally available in a combined format (.CSV file).
