Field-Pro was developed for Production Access (PA), now Petris, to enhance their production reporting software, Production Center. The product was created with the user in mind. In the past, Petris' customers had difficulties implementing other handheld solutions.
The development of Field-Pro was done with customer input and testing and focused on simplifying handheld administration. It is an easy to use, comprehensive handheld data capture solution for the US market. Petris now offers its customers in the upstream oil and gas market a strong end-to-end production solution.
With the bigger buttons on the handheld screen, clearer forms, and fewer screens to navigate, Field-Pro is much easier to use than other field data capture systems in the US market: Field-Pro easily manages multiple pumper (field operator) routes and maintains production history for 90 days or more. The custom built tool set allows for setup and management of pumper routes with no administrative overhead from Petris. The Field-Pro solution allows pumpers to store multiple routes on a single handheld. The Field-Pro software is designed to incorporate software upgrades and database changes automatically during the daily synchronization process.
Field-Pro and collected production data are stored on a flash memory card. If a handheld fails or the battery dies, the card can be moved into a new handheld and all the data will be instantly accessible. The "Skip" function is a time saving feature for one-touch data entry for low producing or less frequently visited wells. Visit our partner Petris for more information.
HotButton Solutions developed Handheld Data Collection System (HDS) for CGI Group Inc., an extension of their popular product, Production Volume Reporting (PVR). Through the convenience of a handheld, daily production data can be collected and analyzed by the field operator (pumper) and administrative groups. Information collected from daily readings propagates from the handhelds to the PVR Database.
During the development process current PVR customers were consulted in regards to the functionality of HDS. The product was extensively piloted in the field prior to its release. PVR users now benefit from the enhanced features offered by HDS and, as a result, report an increase in operational efficiency.
The results of this case study were so impressive that elements of the customized project created for CGI have been added into the features of the HotLeap™™ 8.0 release.
